Dream in the Dorm
The idea for Forged Athletic first sparked back in 2019 while our founder was still in high school, sitting as an unrealized vision. It wasn’t until 2021, during his freshman year of college, that everything changed. Bored with standard classes and looking for something purposeful to fill his spare time, he noticed a YouTube ad about starting a clothing brand while playing video games in his dorm room. He brushed it off at first.
But God had other plans.
That same night, he went to sleep and had a vivid dream revealing exactly what the brand should be called, alongside a clear vision for the original logo. The very next morning, the first YouTube video he clicked on opened with an ad explaining how to build a website and launch a business. Recognizing the calling, he took the initiative and started the company right there from his dorm.
The Evolution
In the beginning, the brand was basic. Driven by a deep calling rather than a background in web layout, logo design, or apparel engineering, our founder simply moved forward in faith. Forged was originally intended to be a simple gym and activewear line.
Over time, it evolved into something much larger: a complete sports and apparel brand engineering Christian-based equipment and performance clothing—from our flagship ARC Basketballs, football gloves, and batting gloves to high-performance arm sleeves and lifestyle apparel.
We saw a massive, undeniable gap in the market. Legacy sports brands have completely missed out on the Christian competitor. Forged Athletic was built to fuse faith and fitness, giving athletes a premium opportunity to boldly express their faith on the court, the field, and the pitch.
Growing Roots
Our roots run deep in the Kansas City metro. Having lived in the KC area for a long time, with family graduating from the Shawnee Mission School District, this community is our home. Our founder even spent time working on the floor at the local SCHEELS—a retailer we now look forward to partnering with down the road.
Being on the ground in Kansas City allows us to connect face-to-face with savvy believers, build genuine relationships with local athletic directors, and get our name through doors that put more eyes on the mission. This community drives us to grow and share the Word of God through every piece of gear we create. If our Christian message isn't seamlessly integrated into everything we do, we are doing our jobs wrong.
The Horizon
We aren't here to play small or blend into the background.
In the next 5 to 10 years, Forged Athletic intends to overtake the largest players in the sporting goods world. We aspire to preach the Gospel louder and more boldly than legacy brands promote worldly trends.
Our trajectory is locked on outfitting sponsored teams, schools, and elite athletes across all levels of play.
The fire is lit. The work is being done. All for God’s glory.
